Baby Corn Manchurian


I love manchurian and i try making it with a variety of items.My mom makes excellent gobi manchurian  which is how i started to like it as a kid..and trust me !!! Most of my friends love her manchurian and fried rice.

And the speciality of this post is ....yeah.....IT IS MY 200TH POST TO MY BLOG .....looking back...i feel so happy to be able to share those lovely recipies with my dear friends....!!!





Ingredients :
  1. Baby Corn - 250 grams ( cut into square pieces )
  2. Onion cut into square- 2 No
  3. Capsicum cut into square -2 No
  4. Garam Masala- 1tbsp
  5. Chopped Ginger- 1 tbsp
  6. Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  7. Green chilly slitted- 2 Nos
  8. Soya Sauce- 2tbsp
  9. Red Chilly Sauce- 2 tbsp
  10. Tomato Sauce/Hot and Sweet Sauce -2 tbsp
  11. Salt as reuired
  12. Coriander leaves chopped
  13. Oil as required
For Dough   ( For Step 2)
  1. All Purpose Flour ( Maida) - 2 Cup
  2. Corn flour- 3/4 Cup
  3. Ginger- Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
  4. Garam Masala- 1 /2 tsp
  5. Turmeric Powder - 1/2  tsp
  6. Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
  7. Salt - ( TIP  :  Make sure you add  a little more than required in the dough so that it sticks well on the cauliflower florets )
How to Cook the vegetable manchurian
  1. Prepare the dough by kneading the mixture with little water .Make sure not to form lumps .The dough should be tight.
  2. Mix the  corn pieces in the prepared dough and keep aside for half an hour.
  3. Deep fry  each corn pieces  .Make sure it doesn't turn brown and keep it aside. 
  4. Heat oil in a pan and when it is hot , add the chopped ginger , garlic and green chilly . Saute for few minutes.
  5. Add the onions and saute for sometime.
  6. Add the capsicum and saute till it is cooked.
  7. Add the garam masala and saute for a minute.
  8. Add the sauces and saute on high flame for 2 minutes.
  9. Check the salt , add as required / as per your taste.
  10. Add the  fried corn  , coriander leaves chopped and close the pan , cook for 5 minutes on low flame.

Spicy Chilly Chicken






Ingredients 
  1. Chicken boneless cut into cubes  - 3/4kg
  2. Onion - 1 No cut into square size
  3. Capsicum chopped to square pieces  - 1 No
  4. Ginger cut into small pieces- 1 tbsp
  5. Garlic cut into small pieces- 3 tbsp
  6. Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
  7. Pepper Powder- 1 tsp
  8. Garam Masala - 1 tsp
  9. Star Anise crushed- 2 Nos
  10. Kashmiri Chilly Powder - 1 tsp
  11. Whole red chilly - 3 no crushed
  12. Soya Sauce- 11/2  tsp
  13. Chilly Sauce- 1  tsp
  14. Tomato Sauce -  1 tsp
  15. Green Chilly - 1 No slitted
  16. Egg - 1 No
  17. Oil - as required
  18. Salt - as required
  19. Coriander Leaves for garnishing
Ingredients for  marination:
  1. Lemon drops
  2. Turmeric Powder - 1 /2 tsp
  3. Salt as required
  4. Pepper Powder- 1/2 tsp
  5. Whole red chilly crushed - 5 No
  6. Soya Sauce- 1  tsp
  7. Chilly Sauce- 1  tsp
  8. Tomato Sauce -  1 tsp
  9. Ginger Garlic paste - 1 tbsp

How to Cook
  1. Clean the chicken well.
  2. Cut the chicken into small square pieces.
  3. Marinate the chicken with ingredients for marination for 1 hour to  2 hours.
  4. After 1/ 2  hours, add beaten egg to the marinated chicken , mix well and leave it for 20 to 30 minutes.
  5. Pour oil to the pan and when it is hot stir fry the chicken pieces . Make sure the chicken is not fully  cooked.Keep this aside.
  6. Pour 2 tbsp oil to the pan , add the crushed chilly , saute for 1 minute.
  7. Now add the ginger and garlic chopped , crushed star anise. Saute for a  minute.
  8. Add the onions , slitted green chilly and saute the onions.Make sure it doesn't start to turn brown 
  9. Transfer the  capsicum to the cooked onion with required salt and turmeric powder. Stir fry  for 5 minutes. 
  10. Add ,soya sauce, chilly sauce , tomato sauce,pepper powder,garam masala , kashmiri chilly powder , saute for 2 minutes.
  11. Add the chicken pieces  , mix it well and saute in low flame for sometime till the sauces all are mixed with the chicken well.
  12. Again stir for on high flame for 2 minutes.
  13. Add salt if required  .
  14. Garnish chopped coriander and serve hot with fried rice.

Vegetable Manchurian





For the vegetable balls 

  1. Mixed Vegetables chopped very thin   - 3 Cups ( i took carrots , beans , cabbage and green peas,capsicum with the proportion of cabbage and capsicum less )
  2. Green Chilly - 2 No chopped
  3. Ginger garlic paste- 1 tbsp
  4. Corn Flour- 2 tsp
  5. Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
  6. Chilly Powder - 1/2 tsp
  7. Salt as required
  8. Coriander leaves chopped
  9. Maida /  All purpose flour- 1/2 cup or as required to get a thick dough
  10. Maida to dip before fryign the kofthas.
  11. Oil for frying
How to  make the  vegetable balls  
  1. Initially steam cook the chopped vegetables for 10 minutes.
  2. As soon as the vegetables are done , mash the vegetables well , and add the rest of the ingredients and mix it well to make a dough .Add water as required.
  3. Mix it well enough to make small balls.
  4. Heat pan and add oil  enough for frying
  5. Roll the balls in maida powder.
  6. Shallow fry the rolled balls. Keep turning after 1 minute.
  7. Keep the fried balls aside.

How to Cook the Manchurian gravy

Ingredients :
  1. Onion cut into square- 3 No
  2. Capsicum cut into square -3 No
  3. Garam Masala- 1tbsp
  4. Chopped Ginger- 1 tbsp
  5. Chopped garlic - 1 tbsp
  6. Chopped green chilly- 1 tbsp
  7. Soya Sauce- 3tbsp
  8. Red Chilly Sauce- 2 tbsp
  9. Tomato Sauce- 1 tbsp
  10. Salt as reuired
  11. Coriander leaves chopped
  12. Oil as required
How to Cook the vegetable manchurian
  1. Heat oil in a pan and when it is hot , add the chopped ginger , garlic and green chilly . Saute for few minutes.

Gobi Manchurian in Rich Sauce Gravy


I got an idea for this recipe from a tv show recipe for chilly chicken.I replaced the chilly chicken with cauliflower florets .This is a modified version of it.Hope you  enjoy this !!

Ingredients :
  1. Cauliflower florets- 3 Cups
  2. Onions - 2 Nos Cut into square shaped
  3. Capsicum - 2 Nos cut into square shaped
  4. Green Chilly slitted- 3 Nos
  5. Ginger chopped- 1 tbsp
  6. Garlic chopped- 1 tbsp
  7. Pepper Powder- 1/2 tsp
  8. Garam Masala- 1 tsp
  9. Soya Sauce 2 tbsp
  10. Tomato Sauce- 6 tbsp
  11. Hot ad Sweet Sauce- 1 tbsp
  12. Chilly Sauce- 1/2 tsp
  13. Corn Flour- 2 tbsp
  14. Coriander leaves chopped
  15. Celery Chopped
  16. Salt as required
  17. Oil as required.
For the Marinade

  1. Kashmiri Chilly Powder- 1 and 1/2 tbsp
  2. Chilly Powder- 1/2 tsp
  3. Soya Sauce- 1 tbsp
  4. Ginger garlic Paste- 1 tbsp
  5. Maida - 1 Cup
  6. Water- 1/2 to 3/4Cup
  7. Corn Flour- 4 tbsp
  8. Salt
How To Cook:
  1. Clean the cauliflower florets well and keep it in luke warm water for 1 hour.
  2. Wash it once again .
  3. Make a thick paste with the ingredients for marinade .
  4. Mix well the cauliflower florets with the thick paste and keep aside for 1 hour.
  5. Fry each florets and keep this aside.
  6. Mix the corn flour with 1 cup water and keep this aside.
  7. Add oil to the pan and add the ginger garlic chopped , green chillies , saute till the raw smell goes .
  8. Add onion , and saute for 4 minutes till it trun translucent. Make sure it doesnt turn brown .
  9. Add the capsicum pieces , garam masala, pepper powder , salt and saute for 2 minutes.Close the pan and cook for 2 minutes.
  10. Now lower the flame , add the sauces ( 9 , 10 11 , 12 ) 
  11. Mix well the sauces and saute on high flame for 2 minutes for the flavours to blend in.
  12. Now add the cornflour solution , 1 Cup water and mix well .
  13. It will take few minute before the sauce start to thicken .
  14. Now add the fried cauliflower pieces, celery  and close the pan and cook for 3 minutes on low flame for the flavours to blend in to the cauliflower pieces.
  15. Now add the chopped coriander .
  16. Serve hot with Fried Rice  or Butter Naan .



Chilly Chicken



Ingredients 
  1. Chicken boneless cut into cubes  - 1/2 kg
  2. Onion - 1 No cut into square size
  3. Capsicum chopped to square pieces  - 1 No
  4. Ginger cut into small pieces- 1 tbsp
  5. Garlic cut into small pieces- 1 tbsp
  6. Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
  7. Pepper Powder- 1 tsp
  8. Kashmiri Chilly - 2 tsp
  9. Soya Sauce- 1 tbsp
  10. Chilly Sauce- 1 1/2 tbsp
  11. Tomato Sauce - 2 tbsp
  12. Red Chilly Whole crushed- 4 Nos.
  13. Green Chilly - 1 No
  14. Oil - as required
  15. Salt - as required
  16. Coriander Leaves for garnishing
  17. Celery chopped for garnishing - 1/2 cup
For Marination
  1. Chilly Powder- 1 tsp
  2. Chilly Sauce- 1 tsp
  3. Soya Sauce- 1/2 tsp
  4. Pepper Powder- 1/2 tp
  5. Vinegar- 1/2 tsp
  6. Salt
How to Cook
  1. Clean the chicken well.
  2. Cut the chicken into small square pieces.
  3. Marinate the chicken with ingredients for marination for 1 hour.
  4. Pour oil to the pan and when it is hot stir fry the chicken pieces . Make sure the chicken is not fully  cooked.Keep this aside.
  5. Pour 1 tbsp oil to the pan , add the crushed chilly , saute for 1 minute.
  6. Now add the ginger and garlic chopped . Saute for a  minute.
  7. Add 1 tbsp oil to the mixture and when it is hot, saute the onions  and make sure it doesn't start to turn brown 
  8. Transfer the  capsicum to the cooked onion with required salt and turmeric powder. Stir fry  for 5 minutes. 
  9. Now  add the half cooked chicken ,soya sauce, green chilly ,chilly sauce , tomato sauce,pepper powder, kashmiri chilly powder , chopped celery and saute for 4 minutes.
  10. Stir fry for 3  minutes.
  11. Add salt if required  .
  12. Garnish chopped coriander and serve hot with fried rice.

Kung Pao Chicken



This is a variety recipe.It is a chinese recipe. It is traditionally prepared with peanuts in China. I got this recipe from my sister.She add a variety of sauces to this. But as we get limited varieties here i made with the below mentioned sauces alone. She made it when she came for her vacation.We all loved this. This recipe is different since we are mixing the vegetables and chicken together.This is an Indian version of the chinese kunpao chicken Please try this.

Ingredients 
  1. Chicken  - 1/2 kg
  2. Vinegar- 2 tbsp
  3. Onion - 2 No cut into square size-
  4. Carrots- 1 big cut lengthwise
  5. Beans - 5 big cut lengthwise
  6. Corn- 1/ 2  Cup
  7. Ginger cut into small pieces- 1 1/2 tsp
  8. Garlic cut into small pieces- 1 tbsp
  9. Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
  10. Peanuts  fried - 1/2 Cup
  11. Soya Sauce- 4 tbsp
  12. Chilly Sauce- 1 tsp
  13. Hot and Sweet Sauce- 2 tsp
  14. Tomato Sauce- 1 tsp
  15. Red Chilly Whole crushed- 6 Nos.
  16. Mustard- 1 tsp
  17. Oil - as required
  18. Salt - as required
  19. Coriander Leaves for garnishing
How to Cook
  1. Clean the chicken well.
  2. Cut the chicken into small square pieces.
  3. Marinate the chicken with vinegar  for 3 hours.
  4. Cook the corn in cooker to 4 - 5 whistles  . ( You can also use the frozen ones as well).Keep this aside.
  5. Pour oil to a pan and when it is hot, saute the onions till translucent.
  6. Add the ginger garlic pieces and cook for 2 minutes.
  7. Transfer the carrots, beans , capsicum to the cooked onion with required salt and turmeric powder and again saute for 2 minutes. 
  8. Close the pan, and cook the vegetables.
  9. Mix all the vegetables with the cooked corn.
  10. Set aside the cooked vegetables.
  11. Pour oil to  pan ,add the mustard seeds.
  12. When the mustard seed splutter , add the crushed red chilly.Saute for 1 minute.
  13. Add the chicken pieces and stir fry the chicken pieces.
  14. When the chicken is half cooked add 1 tbsp soya sauce and again saute  till it is cooked well.( Close the pan for 10 minutes if required)
  15. Mix the cooked vegetables and the chicken pieces. Mix it together well.
  16. Add the soya sauce, hot and sweet  , tomato sauce and chilly sauce mix it well. 
  17. Add the peanuts. Stir fry the mixture for 5 minutes.
  18. Check salt and add if required.
  19. Garnish with coriander leaves.
  20. Serve hot with fried rice.

Mushroom Manchurian





Ingredients 
  1. Mushroom  - 10 Nos
  2. Carrot- one small carrot cut lengthwise
  3. Capsicum -  2 Nos
  4. Big Onion cut lengthwise - 2 Nos
  5. Ginger cut into small square pieces- 2 tbsp
  6. Garlic cut into small square pieces- 1 tbsp
  7. Garam Masala - 1 1/2  tsp
  8. Turmeric Powder 1 tsp
  9. Soya Sauce- 2 tbsp
  10. Tomato Sauce - 1 tbsp
  11. Hot and sweet sauce- 2 tbsp
  12. Oil - For Deep Frying ( as required) and for Cooking - 2 tbsp
  13. Coriander Leaves for Garnishing.
For Dough   ( For Step 2)

  3. Ginger- Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
  4. Turmeric Powder - 1/2  tsp
  5. Chilly Powder - 1 tsp

How to Cook
  1. Wash the mushrooms  well .Put the mushrooms  in luke warm water mixed with turmeric water and salt for 15 minutes so that it gets cleaned properly.
  2. Prepare the dough by kneading the mixture with little water .Make sure not to form lumps .
  3. Mix the mushroom pieces in the prepared dough and keep aside for half an hour minutes.
  4. Deep fry  each mushrooms  .Make sure it doesn't turn brown and keep it aside. 
  5. Dip the carrot pieces in the leftover dough and shallow fry the pieces . keep this aside.
  6. Heat Oil in the pan , add ginger -garlic pieces and saute onions till they become light brown in colour.
  7. Add Capsicum and saute for 5 mins .
  8. Add 2 tbsp of soya sauce, garam masala and saute well till the capsicum gets cooked well.
  9. Add the mushrooms, carrot pieces and the sauces.
  10. Saute the mixture for sometime .
  11. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Soya Capsicum Masala




Ingredients 
  1. Soya Chunks   - 1 1/2 Cups
  2. Capsicum -  1 Nos
  3. Onion cut lengthwise - 2 Nos
  4. Ginger- Garlic Paste - 2 tbsp
  5. Tomatoes- 3 No
  6. Turmeric Powder- 1/4 tsp
  7. Coriander Powder-1 1/2 tbsp
  8. Pepper Powder-1 tsp
  9. Garam Masala Powder-1 tsp
  10. Salt as required
  11. Oil as required
  12. Coriander Leaves for garnishing.
How to Cook:
  1. Soak the soyachunks for minimum 3 hours.After 3 hours , drain the soyachunks, cut each  soya chunk into 4 pieces.Keep this aside.
  2. Heat Oil in the pan , add ginger -garlic paste and saute onions till they turn translucent.
  3. Add turmeric powder, garam masala (1/2tsp), pepper powder,coriander powder and saute till the raw smell of masala leaves.
  4. Add the soya chunks, salt and saute for 5 minutes.
  5. Add tomatoes and capsicum and saute for 5 minutes .
  6. Add 1 cup water ,close the pan and cook on low flame till the capsicum and tomatoes are cooked.
  7. Open the pan, add 1/2 tsp garam masala and saute for 5 minutes minimum till you get a dry form .
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Soya Chunk Manchurian



Ingredients 
  1. Soya Chunks   - 1 1/2 Cups
  2. Capsicum -  2 Nos
  3. Onion cut lengthwise - 2 Nos
  4. Ginger- Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
  5. Garam Masala - 3/4 tsp
  6. Oil
  7. Soya Sauce- 3 tbsp
  8. Tomato Sauce - 6 tbsp
  9. Coriander Leaves for Garnishing.
How to Cook
  1. Soak the soyachunks for minimum 5 hours.After 5 hours , drain the soyachunks, cut each  soya chunk into 4 pieces.Keep this aside.
  2. Heat Oil in the pan , add ginger -garlic paste and saute onions till they turn translucent.
  3. Add Capsicum and saute for 5 minutes .

  7. Open the pan and saute for 5 minutes minimum till you get a dry form .
  8. Garnish with coriander leaves.

Paneer Manchurian


Ingredients
  1. Paneer - 300 grams
  2. Onion - 2 big
  3. Ginger- Garlic Paste - 1 1/2 tbsp
  4. Green chilly cut into small pieces - 1 tbsp
  5. Capsicum - 1 No
  6. Soya Sauce - 2 tbsp
  7. Chilly Sauce-1 tbsp
  8. Pepper Powder-1 tsp
  9. Cornflour -  1 tbsp
  10. Oil 1 to 2 tbsp
  11. Salt as required
  12. Water - 2 1/2  cup
How  To Cook
  1. Pour oil in a pan , add ginger-garlic paste , green chilly and saute for sometime.
  2. After it gets cooked ,add onion, capsicum and saute .
  3. After Onion and Capsicum gets cooked ,add soya sauce, chilly sauce and saute for 1 minute.
  4. Add 2 and half cup water to this along with pepper powder, salt and bring to boil.
  5. After it is boiled , add paneer pieces and let it cook for 5 minutes.
  6. In the mean while add 1 tbsp cornflour in 1/4 cup of water  and add to the cooked gravy after 5 minutes.
  7. Within 2 minutes, the gravy starts thickening to a paste form . As soon  as it start to thicken , remove from flame and garnish with coriander leaves.

Chicken 65 w/o coating


This recipe is easy to cook.  I got this recipe from my mother-in-law. :-) We both love this Chicken 65. The speciality of this recipe is we don't need any coatings for this, so no cornflour is added. It is just simple !!!!

Ingredients
  1. Chicken- 3/4 kg
  2. Chilly Powder ( Kashmiri Chilly ) -2 tsp
  3. Coriander Powder -3 tsp
  4. Turmeric Powder -1/2 tsp
  5. Garam  Masala 1 1/4 tsp
  6. Curd-1 cup
  7. Ghee 3 tsp 
  8. Tomato sauce -5 tsp
For Marinating chicken pieces.
  1. Ginger- garlic paste -2 tsp
  2. Curd- 2 tbsp out of the 1 cup
  3. Chilly Powder - 1 tbsp
  4. Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
  5. Salt as required.
How to Cook
  1. Marinate the chicken pieces and keep for 2 hours.
  2. Heat 2 tbsp of ghee in pan  , saute all masalas in low flame. 
  3. Add  marinated chicken pieces to the pan and mix the chicken pieces with the masalas(Chilly Powder ,Coriander Powder ,Turmeric Powder,Garam  Masala, for 2 minutes)
  4. Add rest of the curd to the chicken pieces and again mix such that all the masalas , curd are mixed well with the chicken pieces. Close the pan and cook the chicken (Make sure not to add water as the water from the chicken and curd will be well enough to cook the chicken )
  5. After the chicken gets cooked and is soft, add tomato sauce , required  amount of salt , saute till oil becomes clear.
  6. Garnish with Coriander leaves and Serve.

Cauliflower Manchurian/Gobi manchurian


This recipie is a gift for me from my mom. I just love her making this for me.  Many of my friends are a fan of this recipie . I tried to make this by myself. It was good.  But Nothing can be compared with what mom make !!!!!!!   :-)
