- Cherupayar mulappichathu - 2 glass
- Tomato- 1
- Onion -1
- Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
- Chilly Powder- 1 tsp
- Garlic - 4 pods chopped
- Salt as required
- Oil as required
- Mustard seeds- 1/4 tsp
- Red Chilly
- Urud Dal -1/4 tsp
- Curry leaves

- Wash the moong Dal well.
- Soak the moong Dal for 12 hours.
- After 12 hours , drain out the water and wrap the moong Dal in a wet cloth and keep closed overnight.
- Moog Dal will be sprouted.
- Add oil to the pan , when it s hot , add urud Dal , mustard seeds and red chilly.
- When it splutter , add the onion , saute till it turn brown.
- Add the tomato, garlic and saute for 3 minutes.
- Add the turmeric powder , chilly powder ,salt , curryleaves saute for 2 minutes.
- Add the sprouted Dal , enough water , close the pan and cook for 10 minutes.( it gets cooked fast , so check in between so that it does not get overcooked.
- Serve hot with rice.
