Ingredients
- Cheru Payar ( Moong Dal ) - 1/2 Cup
- Ginger -1 big piece
- Garlic- 5 pods
- Onion shallots - 6 No
- Coconut- 1 Cup
- Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Garam Masala- 1 tsp
- Coriander Powder- 1 tsp
- Chilly Powder-1/2 tsp
- Pepper Powder-1/2 tsp
- Jeerakam-l/4 tsp
- Green Chilly-1
- Oil-1 tsp
- Salt as required
How to Cook :
- Pressure cook the cheru payar ( Moong Dal ).
- Add all the masalas ( from 6 to 11 ) and cook for sometime.
- Add 1/4 cup water and mix it well.
- Grind the coconut , onion shallots, green chilly, ginger , garlic pods for 1 round in a mixie.
- Add the grinded paste and salt to the cooked moong dal.
- Add oil to the cooked moong dal.
- Garnish with curry leaves.
- Serve hot with rice.
