Ingredients :
- Cabbage grated to fine pieces- 3 Cups
- Onion chopped- 1 Cup
- Coconut grated- 1 Cup
- Ginger cubes- 1 tbsp
- Green Chilly chopped- 1 No
- Turmeric Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Chilly Powder- 1/2 tsp
- Salt as required-
- Oil 1 and a half tbsp
- Curry Leaves- 10 Nos
- Red Chilly- 2 No
- Mustard- 1 tsp
- Dal - 1 tsp
- Mix the grated cabbage , onion , ginger , green chilly ,turmeric powder, chilly powder , salt , 1/2 tbsp oil with your hands and keep this aside for half n hour.
- Heat pan and add oil , when it is hot add the mustard , red chilly and dal pieces.
- When it splutter , add the mixed cabbage . Mix it well .
- Close the pan and cook for sometime till the cabbage is cooked.(approximately 15 to 20 mins ).
- When the cabbge is done , add the curry leaves and grated coconut.
- Mix in low flame for 1 minute .
- Serve hot with rice.
Note : If you like you can add grated carrots as well.
